DAY 1: Cusco - The Cloud Forest - Pilcopata - Manu
We'll leave early in the morning from Cusco in our private expedition van, and drive all day through. The bus stops frequently during the trip, to permit short visits to small Andean towns (the Inca- towers of Ninamarca, and the colonial village of Paucartambo). Then, we'll climb up to 3900 m.a.s.l. to then dive into the Manu Reserve. Here is where the exploration of the incredible range of cloud forest habitats, We'll be able to see orchids, primitive ferns, etc., and wildlife, such as our national bird, the cock of the rock, and hopefully, the woolly monkey. In the evening we'll arrive to the village of Pilcopata, where we'll stay in a typical lodge. Showers and toilets available.

DAY 2: Pilcopata - Hot Springs ( Shintuya )
Today, after breakfast we'll still have one more hour ride to Atalaya. We continue for 3 hours journey in a 15-meter motorized canoe down the Alto Madre de Dios River. Today we have the opportunity to see wildlife along the rocky banks of the river, such as Fasciated Tiger Herons, Purplish Jays, Skimmers, Vultures, caimans and some of the 13 species of monkeys that live in Manu. We arrive to Aguas Calientes ( Hot springs ), where we spend the night in a platform with tents. Optional night walk before dinner!

DAY 3: Hot Springs ( Shintuya ) - Soga de Oro Lodge
10 minutes boat ride down the river to observe loudly screaming green parrots and macaws, where many different species of parrots, parakeets and some macaws give a colorful show. After returning of the macaw clay lick, your guide is available to further explain about the forest we also visit a nice waterfall close from our campsite. After all this, we'll take our motorized boat up the river for 03 hrs and we will have again chances to see wildlife along the river and we will arrive to our next lodge at mid day. Here we'll spend the day, exploring the surrounding area with very interesting trails, that will show us this amazing ecosystem, in the afternoon will visit a lake , where we can see the prehistoric Hoatzin, some Caimans, Capybaras, Dusky Titi monkeys, and different species of birds.

DAY 4: Soga de Oro Lodge - Cusco
Early in the morning we'll have breakfast and then continue our trip by boat to Atalaya, where our vehicle we'll be awaiting us for the ride back to Cusco, to be back in the late afternoon or the early evening.

Important notes:
Please note that the program may vary slightly so as to maximize your wildlife sightings, depending on the reports of our researchers and experienced naturalist guides based at the lodge.

- Long Sleeved shirts (cotton is better)

- Plastic Bags for clothes and camera etc.
- Personal Things (soap, toilet paper. towel)
- Hat (or Handkerchief)
- Sun Blocker, sun glasses
