Full Day Rock Climbing

This is a perfect day activity for larger groups. Half an hour outside of Cusco, close to Cachimayo, our friend Alex has been putting up routes on a small rock tower about 40 meters high. As of now the tower has a few bolted routes and several top rope routes, but the potential of the area has only begun to be explored. There is easily another 40 routes that could be climbed. The wall has a nicely sized cave for climbing or relaxing out of the sun and there are very good bouldering sites all around.

Itinerary:

We can leave flexibly between 7am and 11am depending on what time the group decides.

After a half-hour in taxi on the Cusco Abancay road we arrive to the area just outside of Cachimayo. If you are new to climbing, the tour includes instruction on technique with several easy top rope routes, if you already climb at a high level there are plenty of more challenging routes available. We will have lunch at the rock and be returning to Cusco around 3:30pm:

- Rock Climbing Instructor

You should bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a rain jacket. You should also bring a large 2 liter bottle of water or the amount you feel is necessary.
